Review of The Andromeda Strain (1971) by Rachel E — 13 Feb 2008
The start is very good and sets up a mood of fear and urgency that the rest of the film just lets drop away. The middle section is far too long and a touch dull and only a rather forced ending gets any sort of tension back into the film.
All told, this should have been much better given the subject matter but, for all its flaws, it is watchable once ? but to be honest I'd rather reread the book.
