Pointless remake that is filled with even more unbelievable versions of what happened to the Lutzes in the house and is filled to the brim with non-scary jump scares...it relies entirely on goofy nonsense like monsters and children hanging in the background.

..all accompanied by music hits...it is lazy, not scary and really detracts from the whole "it is scary because it is true" angle that the original relied on. I didn't buy the original, ad I am certain that it was just a couple who bought an old house that was infested with bugs and was in need of repairs, and they fucking blamed ghosts.

This is garbage, the worst kind if modern horror film.
