Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by Alysia V — 13 Oct 2009

I've never seen the original and perhaps if I had I would view this remake differently. That being said, I thought this was a pretty good horror flick. It definitely had a very creepy over-all vibe and being based on a true story makes it all the more disturbing.

It made me curious as to the in depth details of this story and I plan on looking further into it. An okay cast and probably would have been better had they been different. The last twenty minutes or so when they discover the history behind their house and all the messed up torture that went on there was really disturbing and made for a very scary finale.

All in all, a decent horror flick.
