Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by James H — 01 Jun 2012

I see that Michael Bay produces a lot of remakes for horrors. I haven't seen the original film, but i've heard it's better than this. I guess there were scenes that scared me with the shock horror and some of the ghosts did look kinda freaky.

There was some nice build up of creepy atmosphere, but overall the story wasn't very good. I hated the shit with the guy that slaughted Indians. The acting isn't so terrible, but the characters aren't anything special.

They tried to make the house scary in a way, but they fialed at that. This has good elements with the scary bits, but they hardly ever do anything nice with the plot and characters.
