Review of The Americanization of Emily (1964) by Tayryn B — 14 Aug 2007
Filmed in between Mary Poppins and Sound of Music, but brought out after TSOM, Emily did not do as well as it should have, as people were not able to accept Julie as anything but a pure, virginal nanny.
TAOE is one of Julie's best films! Her acting is top rate, and the chemistry between her and James (in their first time working together!) is more than evident!
Satirical humour at its best!!
