This was one of my favorite Michael Douglas (U.S. President Shepard) movies, he really played this part well. In short Michael Douglas looked and acted very Presidential, too bad he is not running in 2008.

Martin Sheen, Michael J. Fox and Annette Bening were all very good also. Martin Sceen can be my Chief of Staff anyday, Michael J. Fox demonstrated the toughness that must come from the U.S. President's Cabinet Member's.

In the end President Shepard, not only changes U.S. Policies in regards to combating Green House Gases and Fosil Fuel Damages by ordering a 20% reduction on all fosil fuel emissions. And the re-writing of his crime bill that will specifical targets Hand Guns and Assault Rifles (taking on the big boys a.

K.a. The N.R.A.). When a man stands up to protect the dignity, honor and reputation of his woman, he says more then just mear words. On this principal there can be no compromise. In my opinion only a coward would attack a woman publically in the manner in which it was done in this movie, in this movie these character attacks that spun out of control were finally dealt with by President Shepard up close and personal.

So if you love politics and the Washington Soapbox Environment, you will love this movie. This movie brings back the thought of what could be and that is something that should be on the heart and minds of all American's this year come November 4th, 2008.
