Without this movie there'd be no West Wing ("some day someone is going to have to explain to me the virtue of a proportionate response") so automatically it's brilliant.
Beyond that it's well written, well acted and has a nice bit of political oomph to it, despite the movie being a relatively fluffy romantic drama.
