Review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) by Ilja S — 08 Nov 2015

It is visually great, far better than in the first movie, and the effects are top-notch. Andrew Garfield does a better job than in the first installment, trading all the whining for awesome one-liners, and also the rest of the cast does a solid job.

But everything else falls apart from here. It is poorly written, unfocused, and made the same mistakes that were already made in Spiderman3. An overflow of villains, and too many uninteresting sidestories in an overly long movie.
