The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a very exciting movie, more watchable than the first. The action scenes were great, the visual effects were amazing, and the cast was perfect though Electro was kind of weird, but cool.

However, Sony pushed many things into this movie. The Green Goblin was poorly executed, there were plot holes, the father's story was hyped too much as they focused too much on future installments, and Electro felt somewhat wasted(but probably wasn't at all since he was actually more like a side villain than a main antagonist like he looked in the trailers).

What saved this movie was the love story between Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have perfect chemistry as their love scenes were touching, and their love and teamwork are so powerful.

Andrew Garfield also captures the perfect portrayal of Spider-Man which makes him the MVP. Though this movie had cool action scenes, outstanding visual effects, and a perfect cast, you still can't call this movie the best superhero movie.

Due to the plot holes and wasted plot elements, this movie struggled plot wise even though it looked really good. Since the love story between Spider-Man and Gwen was the perfect part of the story, this movie is a better love story than it is a superhero movie no matter how awesome the action and the visual effects were.

Much more entertaining and watchable than the first, but less better than the first due to a wacky, but yet a super fun plot. This movie deserves a C+ to a B-.
