The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a mess of a movie that only exists to set up sequels. While I the first film had flaws, I generally enjoyed it and was looking forward to this sequel. But this movie just feels like a mess from start to finish.
They follow the trend of having far too many villains in the movie and so none of them really get any decent development. Andrew Garfield is still a good portrayal of Spider-Man and I enjoyed his performance.
Emma Stone also does a very good job as Gwen Stacy. Jamie Foxx and Dane Dehaan had potential but overall their characters are so dull that their performances come out the same way. Overall I was not a fan of this movie, and its a disappointment too because I love the character of Spider-Man.
