I loved it, it was exactly what a Spider-Man movie needed to be. Spidey has always been my favorite as his alter ego Peter Parker. This one is going to divide some people because there is a lot going on but it is very easy to follow and though there are many characters that deserve more screen time to flesh them out, it is pretty easy to see their motivations in the short term.

Jamie Foxx is adorable as the invisible Max Dillon who just wants a friend. When he becomes Electro his already twisted sense of self is exposed and he becomes a bullied kid who lashes out, in a big way.

Dean DeHaan continues to impress and as Harry Osborn he has some really touching moments with his best friend Peter and some really hilarious ones as the spoiled billionaire brat. HIs Green Goblin is fun in the short time he is on screen here but I so look forward to his future torture of his former BFF.

Emma Stone is so fucking lovable and gorgeous and talented and funny, she is the perfect Gwen Stacey and these two are so in love in real life it comes thru here. The most cynical of us will hate us, but those of us who have been in that kind of love, will appreciate it, even if they are too embarrassed to admit it.

Andrew Garfield now owns Peter/Spidey, and that's not taking away from Tobey's version, which is also very enjoyable. What makes me love this version of the character so much is the constant quips.

Peter uses his silly sense of humor to unhinge his enemies and also to temper his fear in battle. The action is the best of all 5 Spider-Mans. I love that I live in a time where there are 5 Spider-Man movies and I can't wait for 6, 7, 8 and beyond.

Whew, sorry, gotta little off track there. Webhead whipping through the streets has never looked better, I love how this spider is a little less graceful, banging into buildings and such, still perfecting his craft.

As spectacle goes, it does't get any better than ASM2. This movie does depict an event that is a major moment in the Web Crawler's history, probably his most defining moment. If you know his story, you know to what I am referring.

While it is handled well, this is the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars. One little tiny thing but still significant thing, that I would have done different. But I will see it again this weekend and can't wait.

I may see it twice more.
