Review of The Alphabet Killer (2008) by Bruce W — 24 Sep 2010
Pretty lousy, but I've seen worse. Eliza Dushku taking off her shirt briefly is the best part. It's a real b-grade mystery thriller that tries to be more, but it's a far cry from any "Silence of the Lambs" comparisons.
I found it pretty ridiculous that a known schizophrenic would be permitted to stay on a police force and then be given any latitude at all for field work. It's also rather distasteful that actual murder cases serve as the inspiration for this type of crap; the victims are made into ghouls and their memory is severely damaged by the kind of exploitation produced.
Hopefully there will be no sequel.
