Review of The Alibi (2006) by Robert H — 11 Jan 2008
Relatively cheerful, mellow movie about a conman turned semi-honest. The first ten minutes are hugely confusing, the rest is quite watchable. Don't expect anything unpredictable or clever (or any character depth), and you'll get decent entertainment.
Steve Coogan is vaguely irritating and not very funny, as usual. Never quite sure why anyone hires him to act in movies. (Then again, the powers that be occasionally offer acting work to Simon Pegg, too, so I shouldn't be surprised.
