For some reason I am compelled to this movie. I found myself watching it over and over again and having that feeling that they really did portray the battle fairly. Dennis Quaid is fucking awsome. He looks so cool.

If he was british he would be the next james bond. Billy Bob Thornton is great he redeamed himself after that piece of shit fuckhole called "Bad Santa" UGGG! that was a piece of steaming shit.

But here hes great. There is an emotional connection between all the charecters. And you get that feeling like if they were alive you would become best freinds with these people. I like the fact that Davy Crockett is portrayed as this flawed Charecter rather than this larger than life hero.

That must be why I watch this movie so much. Because all the charecters are flawed and have their backs against the wall. The cinematography is amazing. The scene I like to call "The memory of The Alamo" at the end sends goosebumps to my skin.

And the deguello de crockett is absoulutly beautiful(If you dont know what that is it is the scene when Davy Crockett playes his fiddle to the spanish millitary march)The music is by Carter Burwell and its good.

Its the first time I have heard him use and orchestra larger than a garage band. And it meshes with the movie pretty well. I will admit that I have not heard the full score just bits and pieces. But from what I heard its really good.

5 STARS.
