Review of The Air I Breathe (2007) by John R — 29 Jul 2008
Another multi-plot interlinking storylines movie, but ultimately I was left wondering, "Okay, kinda pointless..." The connections felt forced.
Forest Whitaker, while probably the most talented in this star-studded roster, was given the most implausible role. Okay, it was the (SPOILER ALERT) way he almost got away w/ the bank robbery that was implausible, and I prayed was just a fantasy sequence.
Add to that a semi-precognitive mob enforcer, a screwed-up singer and a doctor who panics a lot, and you'll also be wondering why you didn't just watch something else.
Andy Garcia seems to only have two ranges to his acting: suave and yelling. And again he's given the role of rich bastard. It's almost like watching Al Pacino.
