Review of The Air I Breathe (2007) by Danielle Anna H — 07 Sep 2008
Firstly ignoring the fact that Sarah Michelle Gellar is in this, this has a stella cast so I was expecting top notch viewing right from the start. Beautiful story that bases itself on the ancient chinese proverb that suggests that life is made up of four different emotional cornerstones which are happiness, sorrow, love and pleasure.
Each cast member delivers this concept soo well. Particularly Forrest Whitacker, Kevin Bacon and Brendan Fraser. My only downfalls for this movie are firstly, I thought they could've put a bit more thought into the ending considering the film itself was of such high quality and last but not least, a petty reason I know, but Sarah Michelle Gellar just lowered the tone for me.
...I guess they knew how far her acting abilities went when they cast her as "trista" a cheesy popstar.
