I can see how people can compare it to other film and say it is a rip off of another but it is better to take it with an open mind. Very fresh director Jieho Lee takes the idea of four pieces of human condition and creates a work of art. With no expectations I was able to see a very solid screenplay that does go against the norm run its course through the possibility of life connections. Each character has a story to be told and we better understand why they are the way they are. I am given a reason to look into their lives rather than not getting a backstory.

In reality yes other films have explored a similar story map that appears similar but in the end the differences make each film unique. Every actor in this film gives fantastic performances that give depth to the characters. Sarah Michelle Gellar does well with her character as the up and coming pop star thrown into the mob mix. It isn't a very versatile role from others that she has played before but she takes it and makes it a person. Brendan Fraiser as a mobster with a deep shroud around him is great. He is believable because he is the silent thinker as well. Forest Whitaker is always excellent in any role that he chooses because even in the mousy man role he shines.
