Review of The Age of Innocence (1993) by David K — 11 Jan 2009
OK, so nothing could be as wonderful as Edith Wharton's novel but this film does a pretty good job. The actors are well cast and do an excellent job. It also captures the stifling, opulent world of late nineteenth century New York superbly with all its splendour, squalor, beauty and hypocrisy.
Marvellous.
