Review of The Age of Adaline (2015) by Char B — 21 May 2015

Cannot believe 71% of viewers like this movie. It looks like a movie that "reads well" but doesn't translate to the screen. I know its fashionable to make a script enjoyable to peruse, but the truth is that novel and screen require different styles for a reason.

Not to mention - it feels low budget, it is awkwardly paced, there are too many unnecessary characters and events. But the worst is that as you move into the film it becomes a simply awful story to even be watching unfold.

And totally unnecessarily - this story could have been told without the characters being interwoven quite so tightly (insanely) and essentially ruining what was good and interesting about the film.
