The story is smooth and strong. The acting is good but it's very good when Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn are on screen. If not for those scenes, I would have characterized this as interesting but snoozy.
Can we stop writing stories where the man (or woman) has to be exceptionally beautiful, a good cook, interesting, independently wealthy and etc. in order for true love to win out. Has no one seen Overboard.
But really... Blake Lively and Michiel Huisman are exceptionally lovely but they have no heat. Their romance was sweet so points for that.
