Review of The Age of Adaline (2015) by Nelson M — 03 May 2015
Age of Adaline is a wonderful exploration of the dangers of falling in love when you are immortal. Blake Lively does an extraordinary exploration of a young woman who never grows old, who fears discovery, yet is smart, sharp, multi-lingual and very aware of 'the world' from a unique perspective.
Then a new love interest brings her into conflict with a former lover. The voice-over set-up talk is fine, speaking from AD 2035. It is as if Blake's live is being narrated by a future medical researcher.
Yet you feel as if you are right there, living it with her each moment. This is one romantic drama that explores, reveals and rewards your time. Also a great couples movie. Tom.
