Review of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939) by Christopher A — 26 Dec 2009
The second Rathbone Holmes flick pits the titular hero against the genius James Moriarty. The general gist of Moriarty's plan is revealed in the beginning, but the audience must watch as the specifics unfold.
The plan is pretty clever and not badly written. I found it pretty unfortunate that Holmes only defeated Moriarty with strength rather than wits, and the climax and ending left something to be desired.
