Review of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939) by Sean R — 11 Apr 2010
Indeed Rathbone makes an excellent Sherlock Homes, and it is very interesting to see here Watson as a babbling bafoon whereas in the recent film he is looked at as a serious and very intelligent doctor. Almost as smart as Homes himself.
This goes to show that the classics had it down right.
