Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Aren B — 01 Jun 2010
The most enjoyable of swashbuckler films, "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is an energetic, vibrant, Technicolor marvel of classic filmmaking. Errol Flynnâ??s Robin Hood may be too jovial and erratic to take seriously, and the Merry Men may border on lighthearted hysteria, but the film is an immensely satisfying experience.
Claude Rainesâ?? Prince John is an especially fun character in a film with many classic performances.
