Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Mike L — 15 Jan 2011
THE reason why the story of Robin Hood is still relevant in the U.S.
A great mix of cast, story, direction, and costume.
This made a period of history that was not glamorous appear very glamorous and fun.
The cast is great, with Flynn, de Havilland, Rains, and Rathbone how could you go wrong. Each imparts a sense of dread with an equal sense of hope, which is why this film is so popular.
A film for all ages.
