This version of Robin Hood is the basis of its spoof film Robin Hood: Man In Tight. The entire film has lots of comedy elements. This is indeed a classical and a must watch. It definitely brings out the child in you.
This film was film during the time when TechniColor first started to make color films. Back then the filmmakers would try to incorporate as much color as possible on purpose. This can also be seen clearly in some other early films such as Wizard of Oz or the colored version of Chushingura. The colors are made vividly in those fancy costumes.
