Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Ronald F — 10 Sep 2012
Absolutely the greatest Robin Hood movie ever made. The cast is superb, and the beautiful Technicolor photography is lush, creating a sense of storybook wonder. Errol Flynn was perfectly cast as the nobleman turned outlaw.
His verbal and physical dueling with the villainous Guy of Gisbourne played by Basil Rathbone is simply magic. They truly don't make movies like this anymore!
