Review of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) by Nick L — 07 Nov 2010
This is probably my favorite Disney film ever. The Wind in the Willows part is flawless. Perfect animation, voice acting, story telling, everything. It's really funny without having to have a designated comic relief character.
The music is really awesome and the characters are great. The Sleepy Hollow part is still great but in my opinion the lesser of the two. The characters are a little more static and the love interest doesn't even have a line, but it's made up for by amazing music and what might be the best animation to ever come out of Disney.
The headless horseman part is funny, scary, and sad all at the same time and it looks absolutely incredible. This move really makes me miss traditional animation with hand painted cells.
