Review of The Adventures of Hercules (1985) by Green B — 17 Jun 2015
Even worse sequel to the Golan/Globus produced 1983 Lou Ferrigno "Hercules" picture. Lou is back as the musclebound half-god, but according to the director, he was hired to do reshoots for "The Seven Magnificent Gladiators" (also staring Mr.
Ferrigno) and was then told by producers to write a sequel to "Hercules" around the new footage, but not to tell Ferrigno he was filming a new movie. It unfortunately shows in how disjointed the film feels.
A typical episode of "Xena: Warrior Princiess" is far better than this ridiculous movie. However, I will give the film one star for the Pino Donaggio score and for the scene when Hercules and his female companions walk into the mouth of a cave carved like a giant head, which I was excited about for few seconds because I thought it was the same giant stone head from "Zardoz" that spits guns out it mouth and told Sean Connery about body parts.
