Review of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) by Joey R — 26 Oct 2018
This movie might honestly be the best thing ever, and the fact that I've seen it on so little "Best of" lists personally offends me.
This isn't a cult classic, it's a Classic(TM) and should be regarded as such. This film should be taught in film classes. There should be hipsters events surrounding it. It should be preserved by the American Film Institute for being culturally, historically, AND aesthetically significant.
Instead, I'm the only one I can celebrate Terry Gilliam's genius with, because nobody else wants to watch a movie an absurdist meta-film starring Robin William's gigantic head with me. Their loss. They're missing out on such a clever, creative, imaginative, innovative, and all around epic movie.
I love you, Terry Gilliam. I love you, I love you, I love you.
