Review of The Adjustment Bureau (2011) by Richard B — 26 Aug 2013
A strangely compelling mix of romance and fantasy. It's been described as sci-fi but I don't think it is. Well acted lead characters with a good chemistry supplemented by a strong and likeable supporting cast means that even though this is an odd film it is very watchable. I'm not certain there is a point to be made but when it comes down to it, it's 90 minutes of watchable film making where you care, or are at least interested to find out, about the outcome. One interesting feature is that even though it is a battle of wills between two opposed groups there are no "baddies" as such. Just two different points of view.
Better than I was expecting.
