Review of The Adjustment Bureau (2011) by Vlad S — 19 Sep 2012
There is nothing sci-fi about this movie. Not new at all but refreshed idea of some sort of "shadow" organization controlling the world (right, Massons again...) wrapped into pseudo-sci-fi flavor.
The director is probably did not know if he wants to make a sci-fi or fantasy or mistic or suspense or melodram movie that's why we have here a weird mix of all genres. Cmon, guys have special "magical" hat to help them travel through doors, use a paper notebook with magically drawing electronics-like schematics and can move things by pointing a finger??? What kind of sci-fi is this? On another hand they have special forces with "Man in Black"-like devices to erase memory and change thoughts.
And at the end LOVE of two change the plan for the whole planet? Nonsense. By the way, the mysterious people keep plans for the whole world in a giant library in paper folder bins. Oh boy.
