Review of The Adjustment Bureau (2011) by Francium34 — 08 Jul 2011
Interesting idea and setup at first. But then things go down hill because of predictability and **** I kept waiting for the twist, but it just never came. 3 major plot flaws: 1. the romance is not well presented. The two main characters had love at first sight, and that was that. 2. You can see the "inside help" coming from half an hour away. But why? Motivations are pretty vague. 3. No strong villain or opposition character at all. The protagonist was determined, and no one had a slight chance of stopping him. That about sums up the whole movie. Usually you see it the other way around, right, with the main character trying to defy odds.
To give credit, the movie had its moments, occasionally. Some visual effects were kinda cool. But all in all, this film started near the range of "inception", and slid down a slope, into "any DVD rental to pass a boring Sunday night" territory.
