Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by Adam K — 02 Aug 2013
Amazing documentary on the events of September 1965 and its aftermath in Indonesia. Director Joshua Oppenheimer manages to get a number of the perpetrators of the death squads to talk about their roles in these events and even recreate their actions (and those of their victims) in an imaginary film of 1965.
Not for the feint hearted this is a brave and controversial film.
