Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by Panagiotis T — 09 Aug 2013
Probably safe to say that the art of filmmaking has never been put to use quite like in Joshua Oppenheimer's "The Act of Killing"; there have been several portraits of murderers, psychotics and sociopaths, but never one that exposed so blatantly and brilliantly the sheer stupidity of their violence, never one that tricked their repulsive subject into looking in the mirror and forced them to really, really see.
