Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by Graham M — 08 May 2014
At best, it exposes Indonesian history which most people (including me, before I saw the movie) don't know. At worst, the documentary glorifies the killers by giving their cause & viewpoint an attempt at a legitimate voice.
After giving the killers an hour of my life where I watched them smile & joke about the atrocities they committed, I decided it wasn't worth giving them another hour of my life, & never finished the movie.
