Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by Jake Z — 05 Apr 2015
A profound act of patience from the director and crew. Most of the movie feels infuriating because the villains seem to be enjoying themselves. But the rare moments of realization, where they seem to be feeling empathy for the first time in their lives - those moments make a good deal of the movie worth the long wait.
