Review of The Accountant (2016) by Marcus C — 15 Nov 2016
The movie business is a fickle one, so it ought to be assumed that, even as we approach the season of goodwill, at some stage Ben Affleck will be associated with a turkey. Despite some indifferent reviews, fans should be reassured this is not it.
The Accountant manages to balance the books here with a mixture of action and storyline. Okay, the plot does stretch credibility at times, but, unlike a few recent offerings from this genre, it never crosses the line into fantasy.
Taut, well acted and directed, its pace means it is never as dull as its namesake infers.
