Review of The Abyss (1989) by Julian H — 01 Jun 2010
Master filmmaker James Cameron's The Abyss is a journey deep beneath the ocean, where a crew on an underwater rig are confronted by mysterious glowing entities in the midst of a clash amongst their own crew.
While it pales in comparison to James Cameron's other flicks like Aliens, Titanic, and Avatar, The Abyss is tense and stunning enough to be a good, suspenseful watch. Unfortunately, I don't think this is even close to being James Cameron's best.
