Review of The Abyss (1989) by Alex L — 09 Jan 2012
What starts as an underwater horror mystery soons turns into a thriller, then into a crime caper, then into a corny love story, then into a Disney fantasy, a saviour saga and finally I couldn't care less.
Actual there is a moral story to be told a la David Cameroon's films, where the storyline gets banal but the first rate actors, the direction and super special effects hold the film together and interest.
