Review of The Abyss (1989) by Ethan A — 18 Jan 2012
This film is beautiful, especially for it's time, but it also gets props for it's fantastic performances from the likes of its incredibly well rounded cast. The underwater scenes (which is basically the entire film) are some of the most claustrophobic and amazing things I've ever seen on film.
It does have a really disappointing ending, but it doesn't even come close to stopping The Abyss from being a James Cameron film: which in short means it is fantastic.
