This 70's classic is one of the most inventive horror films I've seen. The character of Dr. Phibes, brought to life by a genius Price, is in himself worth the watch, and the plot is quite intriguing as well.
However, it is obvious from the first minute of the film that this is all about the villain and his quest for revenge.
