Review of The ABCs of Death (2013) by Aaron B — 12 Apr 2013
I was really looking forward to this movie. I am a huge fan of anthologies, and with V/H/S, which I loved, having come out not too long before this, I could barely stand the wait. And now it's here.
And I am severely let down. The first half of the film is absolutely terrible. I truly believe I could've found short films of better quality on the internet rather than sitting through this half of the film.
Luckily, the second half picks up some of the slack, making this a less than decent addition to the long list of horror anthologies existent in the cinematic world. The letters I enjoyed were H, L, O, Q, R, T, U, and X.
Most of the others were either boring, incredibly stupid, or on the brink of being pornos. I would also like to state that I was incredibly disappointed by the laziness of Ti West's short when I have come to love all of his other work.
So, in conclusion, you will most likely find at least one thing you like about this film, but is it worth it to sort through the rest of the garbage?
