Review of The ABCs of Death (2013) by Cade H — 14 Mar 2015
The idea of this film is intriguing, have 28 film-makers each make a 3-4 minute short based on a letter of the alphabet given to them. The result is a montage of insane and utterly ridiculous films that are hard to watch.
In the 28 there are maybe 2-3 decent ones that did not feel like a waste of my time. The others were so dumb and all about shock value that it took all the entertainment out of it. Most of them involved nasty deaths with crazy amounts of blood and gore that I turned away multiple times because it was making me sick.
Some of them do not even make sense and look like they were straight out of some sadistic, killers bad dreams. This was a waste of two hours and I am now not sure I even want to watch the sequel which is "supposed" to be better then this one.
Avoid this at all costs.
