Review of The Abandoned (2006) by Kat H — 21 Aug 2007
One of the supposed 8 Films to Die For, but it doesn't live up to the hype. A ghost story with a twist, The Abandoned's biggest asset is its setting. The characters behave erratically at times, and the plot is a little too convoluted.
The location, though, lends itself very well to this sort of story, and helps establish and maintain a genuinely creepy feeling throughout.
