Review of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) by Guilherme N — 30 Sep 2016
Nathan Juran directs this fantasy adventure which tells the tale of a princess being shrunk by an evil wizard, and Sinbad will do everything he can to get the princess back to normal size, even if it means facing a lot of monsters.
Kerwin Matthews is good as the title character Sinbad, while the Princess is played to a good standard by Kathryn Grant. The direction from Juran is good because he keeps a god pace going from start to finish, while the script is written to a respectable standard by Ken Kolb.
Filmed in Technicolor, it has some really nice scenery, and the effects by Ray Harryhausen keeps the movie going and us on the edge-of-our-seats as the two leads battle the monsters throughout. An enjoyable experience.
