Another year, another generic young adult novel adaptation. That's the best way to describe this movie: Generic. It starts off sloppy but somewhat interesting then proceeds to get dumber and dumber the longer it goes on.
It is terrible? No but it's so middle of the road generic that it doesn't even matter.
