There's not much of anything exciting going on in The 5th Wave. it's not like I was expecting much, and that's about exactly what I got; not much of anything. it's decently entertaining, but if be lying if I said I was invested through the entire film, because I sure wasn't.
Chloe Grace Moretz is very talented and she's trying here, but there's not much for her to work with. the dystopian YA book to film adaptations are extremely tiresome now and this one is full of all those standard cliches of those types of films.
it's nothing new and it's nothing good.
