Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Mitchell Y — 18 Jul 2007
This film shows its age, but the black and white photography has some impressive, inventive shots. The plot, which follows somewhat of a curving structure, is also pretty inventive. Nothing really grabbed me, character-wise, and the film sometimes seems to forget whether it's a comedy, drama, thriller, or mystery, but it's still pretty good.
