Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Miguel L — 17 Nov 2007
One of the first movies to work with the odd pairing of the desperate man on the run and the irascible and witty woman. Greater things would come out of Hitchcock, but this is an extraordinary movie for its time in many levels.
An entertaining film that has suffered in the shadows of later works by its filmmaker.
